NOTES FOR 1870 VASHON-MAURY ISLAND FEDERAL CENSUS DATA
There was an 1870 Census taken on Vashon-Maury Island, however Census Enumeration Records do not group those enumerated into any Vashon-Maury Island Census precinct. This means that those on the Island who were included are listed with others in a larger King County enumeration precinct.
Further research needs to be conducted to determine the location (in regard to Census precinct) of individuals within Census Enumeration Records believed to be on the Island in 1870.
